Samarkand-2028 Satellite with Uzbek AI Launched

Today I learned that the Chinese company STAR. VISION successfully launched the Samarkand-2028 satellite, developed in collaboration with 'Uzbekcosmos'. The satellite features an artificial intelligence module that processes hyperspectral data directly in orbit. This reduces the volume of transmitted data and speeds up analysis. The satellite will be used for monitoring agriculture, natural resources, and environmental conditions. Interestingly, Samarkand will host the 79th International Astronautical Congress in 2028.
